INVITATION TO SHARE....
As you may know, the "system" is a broken one and there needs to be change, but without true life stories that bring awareness to what actually takes place, it won't happen. I thank you ahead of time. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, "The test of the morality of a society is what it does for its children." and our foster children have been ignored.
"Unless the investment in children is made,
Maybe something in the book touched your heart in a particular way. Please let me know about it. (Write to me by clicking "CONTACT ME" on the blue task bar above or here.) I also invite you to write to me about your experience if you were in foster care as a child, whether it was good or bad. I am putting together a compilation of stories, and yours is sacred and deserves to be told. (You can also write to me and share your story and request I don't share it! I still care about your experience.)

Four Pounds!

Love heals.
Believe me, He cares for you. He knew you before you were conceived. (Jeremiah 1:4-5) and He knows every detail of everything that happened to you. He understands suffering. He wept when you were being abused. He hurts when you hurt, even today. Because God cares, He allows people to have free will and make choices for themselves. He will punish those who hurt you. There is an African Proverb that goes like this: "Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors." God will bless you by taking the bad that happened to you, and make it work for good in your life, if you love and trust in Him. "When it is dark enough,

SOME THOUGHTS ON ABUSE....
I hope you get a chance to read my book, if you haven't already!
From my heart, I just would like to leave some thoughts with anyone who went through abuse. I am so sorry, and I know that God is, too. You may have wondered where God was. Especially if no one rescued you, you might have pondered or tried to reconcile some or even all of these questions... "If God is so great, then where was He when I was a kid?" or "It was bad enough that I was abused in my home, but then I was abused in my foster home." or "How can I get close to a God who knew all the abuse was going on, but didn't do anything to help me?" or "Does God even love me, or care?"
One thing I think is amazing is that you can leave the door to your heart open, and God won't just barge in; you have to invite him. And if you do, be curious to see what He is going to do with your life. I dare you to invite Him into your heart, then say, "Speak, God. I am listening." Then don't rely on your own understanding of things, but trust in Him with all your heart. (Proverbs 3:5) Wait on Him and be brave, And He will strengthen your heart; Wait on God! (Psalm 27:14) He wants to take away your pain and fears, and replace them with the peace you have always deserved. May God richly bless your life in ways that no one else can!
